summer days..

hot summer weather is in the air.. it's only early november, not even end of spring and yet we got hit by the heat wave.. it's terrible with no air-con in my room, i couldn't imagine how bad the summer will be.. thankfully i work in the air-conditioned office during the day. mission for this weekend, to get a portable air-con for my room. very determined one.

p.s. seems like i'm going to be boost juice's best friend this summer.

friday night out..

it's finally weekend again! awesome feeling.. haha! well it was a warm and cosy friday night by having dinner with my collegues after work and chilling out at san churros and just chit chat all the way. this place that we went for dinner was a japanese restaurant along chinatown, forgot the name. haha! anyway they served good bentos, quite worthwhile for a meal. it was a simple gals night out.

well we had a public holiday on tuesday and it was melbourne cup day! i had heaps of fun that day as i headed to city with a few friends and had a huge lunch at one of a cafe at flinders lane, very nice atmosphere around that area and it would be great place for a cup of coffee with friends. too bad i don't enjoy coffees cause very sensitive with the caffeine. after that i went shopping around myer, can find some good bargain at the moment. but i did resist the temptation to buy. anyways i went for karaoke in the afternoon. how i wish there is more public holidays here.

hot day!

just i was mentioning it's spring in the air.. it's freaking hot outside at the moment.. it's like 30 degrees, hot hot summer is coming already? awww.. i don't want! hahaha.. but the heat is so horrible! you're going to read about this kind of mumbling for the next four months? oh gosh! sorry in advance.. :P anyways i went to have a hair cut today, finally my hair is tidy and short again.. haha! so much lighter and i supposed more prepared for summer..

i've uploaded some photos into my laptop, photos which was taken during august i think.. it's photos of some flowers, it's called daffodil.. i still prefer tulips.. hehe! didn't get to go tulip farm this time cause of the exam.. the beauty of spring time.. ^^

finally!!

finally i can come back to normal.. haha! it has been really hectic ,stressful and tiring one for me.. i really tried my best studying and even camped at the uni library after work during night time to study. now that i've finished the exam.. i feel relieved! thanks dear for being there to accompany and friends' support along the way.. there's a million things going through my mind that i want to do since it's weekend and i've finished exam! but i'm lazy.. it feels great to be lazy for once. haha!

there's so much things that i want to talk about, but i shall take it easy.. let me work it out first.. haha! ohhh.. spring is definately hiting in melb.. however, the weather was so unstable.. it was bright hot sunny day with a high of 28 degrees, too hot to take it and last night it was suddenly hailstorming the whole night. and today it's bright sunny day again.. typical melb weather.. it's spring carnival at the moment and melbourne cup is on this coming tuesday and yay! it's going to be a public holiday.. how awesome is that! not going to the racecourse this time but i think i will add on some fun by putting a share to gamble! haha! ohh wells, it's just random things going through my mind. :P anyways i desperately need to search for some good food.

will be back real soon. hugs! miss lots too..

oh my gosh!

oh my gosh! i'm so stressed out this week. exam is just next week and i'm not even done revising once. please spare me some more time or maybe some super memory technique? hahaha.. i'm just mumbling because i'm kind of worn out from all these. all the work stress, study stress and health stress, my eczema problem is acting up and it makes things a bit worse off for me.. i just need to hang in there for another week, but i really hope that i can revise all of the materials on time. please give me some strength! i've been eating alot due to my stress and also rely on my ipod touch alot, hopefully some music could ease myself.. just found out that anthony callea's songs from his "a new chapter" album are so awesome and inspiring, so intense but yet comforting.. anyway i dont really know what i've said.. you get what i mean.

rainy days..

it has been raining quite a bit lately.. it's good cause we had shortage of our water storage and it's an awesome weather to sleep in and tuck under your warm comfy quilt.. oh wells it's not so good when it's raining early in the morning when you are all set to start the day and ready for a day's work.. haha! and also a night that you need to study hard? well can't be too picky on that. i'm still happy that it's raining.. ^^

well i want to share another eat out experience i had last saturday night. haha! not that i want to become a food critic or what so ever.. but just enjoy the process of sharing my experience. hehe! maybe i should start on a food blog and intro all the places i go and food that i try.. stay tuned on that. wait till i finish my exam. anyways i went dinner at a korean restaurant called hwaro. it's korean barbeque kinda place, with really modernize atmosphere. nice place for a gathering with friends but must pre-book for a table. the place is really full and with different session times. the food portion was rather small though, but the service was pretty good, helped around to cook and cut the meat into small pieces. their marinated meat was yummy, with a bit of burned edges of the meat, two thumbs up! they also used a special kind of rice, not too sure what is it, it's a little purplish colour. and their rice wine with lemon, that was something interesting and tasted pretty good. all in all, we had a nice meal with a leftover smell of what we had. haha! time for more studying.. gambateh!

i know what?! i shall reward myself with a superb good meal after my exam. hmm.. let me think where will it be!

away mode..

i was on away mode.. although i still check on the blog updates all the time, i didn't have time to have a good write for the past few weeks. there was alot happening. well dear was here for the past two weekends, we had heaps of fun and some nice time together. but i still went for work and he went to the library. tried to be hardworking. haha! anyways we also spent some time exploring some places for some good food. my promise for dear. ^_^

finally i got the chance to bring dear to fifteen for dinner, a famous restaurant owned by jamie oliver. i ordered the slow roasted pork belly and dear ordered the pan fried salmon. it came out really good, the pork was roasted just nice, the meat still juicy and with the crisp outside, accompanied with some sauce. don't remember what was the sauce. and dear's salmon was done really juicy and tender, not overcooked at all. we also tried their rose and also the sauvignon blanc. well the rose was alright, tried better ones before. the sauvignon blanc was good, it was from spain. the service was not so attentive when the place was occupied, we went there alot earlier and it was all packed during dinner time. we also tried their dessert, one was the lemon tart and also the the triple cream cheese platter. the cheese tasted really good together with the fig jam, something like that. and the lemon tart was yummy, always can't say no to dessert. haha! the pastry was made just nice, i always love the pastry part. goes well with the mascarpone at the side. well we ended out fifteen experience with a whooping bill.. hahaha! nah.. just kidding! it was a fulfulling meal with alright price.

another highlight that we had was going to takumi japanese restuarant which is famous of wagyu beef and with a bit of contemporary theme. it's a must try i should say. i got to know about this restuarant from the newspaper before that and i went online to search about it in eatability. i did my homework. haha! anyway there were quite alot of good reviews on them. so jen and i decided to have a try after he got the good news! haha. i was daring enough to order the asahi beer, it's on special during 5-7pm, and dear ordered a champagne. then for entree, we ordered a beef stew and also the soba salad with sesame dressing. and the mains we ordered the seafood platter, the eye fillet and also a vegetable platter. oh i forgot to say that it's grill your own, we have a hot plate in the middle of the table and with charcoal. the entree was superb, the beef stew that we ordered just melted inside our mouth with a taste of spice, really yummy! and the soba salad was absolutely delicious, both of us just love it!! it was highly recommended ones, if you're not that into wagyu beef. with the grills, it was nice experience except it gets a bit hot at times when u're grilling. but the taste was awesome, maybe it's due to the charcoal. they also provide three different kinds of sauces to come with it, one is sesame sauce with salt which is nice with vegetables, and one is suitable with the beef and another one is suitable with the seafood. both of us also ordered rice to come with it. by the time we finished all of the mains, we were all full but of course we still had some more room for desserts. i ordered the green tea pudding with green tea ice cream and dear ordered the sesame one. it was delicious! the attention to detail in their presentation and the mixture of taste of the food was just perfect. very nice experience with great attentive friendly waitress. nice experience and definately gonna go back again! i'm happy to share the experience. haha!

the other one that we went together with my collegues during the weekend, was hu tong chinese restaurant. recommended by my collegue that their xiao long bao is yummy! so we ordered a few dishes with rice and some dumplings and also xiao long bao. and the xiao long bao just melted inside my mouth with the juicy sauce inside. it was made really good and i have to say it was by far the best ones i've tried. didn't know xiao long bao was actually that delicious. haha! we also tried their fish head soup. aww.. that was also another good one, it was so fresh and also not a bit of fishy smell at all and even not the gingery taste. well done for that! their food has a bit of spicyness, but it just goes really well with the food. probably will go and try the other dishes as well. just a quick update but it's all about food. haha! no pictures this time cause the food was just too good to stop and take pictures. hahaha! anyway miss lots!! need to get back studying now.. only three more weekeneds till my cpa exam..
