well i'm supposed to write about it ages ago. haha! anyways remember that i mentioned that i had three days of celebration for my big day? well here's some to share.. on saturday night, 8 of august i had a dinner celebration with all my friends, at hogs breath, a famous steak place. i like the steak there with a massive size. we had a party menu with appertiser which is potato skin with some salsa, cheesy and bacon inside and also garlic bread. for main course we had a selection of steak or the chicken. and for dessert we had the chocolate mudcake, which is super duper yummy one! overall it was all good, but the service for that night was quite poor due to the crowd at the restaurant for the whole night. by the time we finished our dinner, it was already around 11pm. gosh!! i was so full that time! haha.. anyway after that we headed to daniel's house to cut cake. i had the most prettiest and luxuriest cake in my whole 24 years. it was a cake from brunetti. and also the first time that i didn't get the cake myself. haha!
then the next day i went out for lunch with my family, cause mum and dad work on monday so we had our family celebration during sunday lunch. then i went out shopping with mum and sis at southland. i was being good that day, i didn't buy anything. haha! on monday, which is the actual day, i went to work as usual.. of course i had some special treatment on that day. i made some mistakes with my given tasks and i was able to get away with it. haha! lucky me.. and in the afternoon, my collegues celebrated with me with a black forest cake, another cake! haha.. then later at night, i went out dinner with a few friends, with ck as well. we went to try a new place at little collins street, it's a sushi train restaurant, first time i had it in melb. it's called sakura kaiten sushi. it's a really small restaurant but it had really nice atmosphere and settings at the place. not many tables as well. matt preston, one of the aus food critic went there before, as for his critics for the restaurant, i think it was just so so.. but i had a great time eating all types of sushis there, and their raw salmon was my fav. their sushis are modified for western taste buds and also modernised. they added some cheese inside the unagi roll i had. haha! something interesting. but the prices of the sushis are a bit pricey, as compared to the ones i had with dear in brisbane. haha! about 4.80 per plate and only about 3-4 serves per plate. the sizes of the sushis are rather smaller, but very nice presentation. the service was awesome though! the waitresses are very attentive and friendly. overall i had a great time eating the sushis there and i also tried one of their bentos. i had an enjoyable evening and ended with a nice talk with dear. and i love the special gift from dear.
so all in all, i had splurged myself with nice dinners, great celebrations and awesome gifts! felt really blessed.. thanks for all the love.
love,
mel
