last weekend i went to mornington with my mum and visitor from malaysia with her daughter studying here, it was my first time meeting up with them. it was a cloudy day and with possible showers and we were lucky enough to skip the bad weather when we were outside. anyway we headed to the sunny ridge strawberry farm, the strawberries are just out for picking and they are huge! i didn't join in the picking part but instead i had a morning tea time myself at the cafe while waiting for them, it was my who knows how many times there.. but still i like the place, with alot of stuff selling at the shop and also chilling out at the cafe with nice scones and a cup of english breakfast tea. relaxing.. after that, they joined me at the cafe and we tried their famously known ice cream.. mouth watering with lots of strawberries.
next we headed to the ashcombe maze, there were so many flowers around and we all had a little bit of fun at the maze with lots of photo takings. we went to the rose garden maze and also their lavender farm maze. the flowers are beautiful. love them! all tired after all the photo taking and walking around the garden. i think it's one of the largest around here. worthwhile to drop by and have a look. after the maze, we headed to a beer brewery, but too bad they were closed! hmm.. shall go and try it next time. so instead we went to a cheese tasting place, and we wanted to try on the cheese tastng platter. well it turned out that i'm not so good in cheese. haha! i think dear will enjoy it more than we do. :P there were quite a few of them to taste, there were goat cheese, sheep cheese and cow cheese from different varieties and also till the end was blue cheese, one from goat and one from cow. it was my first time trying blue cheese, and ermm... you know,, haha!
after that we went back home and the rain was pouring at that time. lucky for us! anyways i had fun being outside the city with nice food, scenery and some fresh air. i wanted to bring dear there. hehe!
